Svakt, located in Bern, Switzerland, is a record label with a novel concept. Our releases are only on vinyl. Each record is one-sided, with one long track and no breaks. We want to hear musicians exploring every inch of an idea: something in which the creators and the listeners can lose themselves. As Miles Davis said, “You should never be comfortable, man… being comfortable fouled up a lot of musicians”. Do rules stifle creativity? Not in our experience. Rules are great – only habits are bad.
